I'm home for Thanksgiving. To me the house I grew up in will always be home. We have a house on 7 acres of land in the middle of the woods. I grew up exploring the land behind our house. Wading in the creek and turning over rocks to find crawfish, following paths deep into the woods, walking over the running cedar, finding a huge beautiful mountain laurel that swooped down over a wide pool in the creek. While I wouldn't consider myself a "tree-hugger" or "granola", I definitely love nature and do have some of those tendencies. I think growing up here really shaped what inspires me to photograph the things I do.
